AZERBAIJANI DEPUTY PREPARES ONE MORE DOCUMENT
Rafael Huseynov, a member of the Azerbaijan parliamentary delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe has submitted one more document to the COE Secretariat: the Resolution for recommendation entitled “Advisability of Founding Council of Europe Museum” had been signed by 28 deputies representing 21 countries. In his interview to AzerTAj reporter, Mr. Huseynov said the document reflects one of the areas of the Azerbaijani parliamentary delegation’s activity set by its head Ilham Aliyev as early as January 2001 - “to confirm our adherence to the European values and contribute to the development of the COE and the whole Europe.“ According to him, the document suggests creating a Museum where each of the 46 COE member countries design a hall to reflect its history and culture with the aim to demonstrate that people of different language, history and mentality are as a matter of fact very close to each other.
Another advantage of the Museum is that it will go down to history as the first institution of culture created by 46 countries, and will become an inimitable pattern of mutual understanding, friendship, peace and cooperation, Rafael Huseynov said.
He added that the Committee of Ministers is recommended to organize appropriate debates with the involvement of the member-countries Ministers of Culture, and find possibilities to solve the issue.
