Azerbaijani Energy Minister: There is big potential for boosting cooperation between Kazakh and Azerbaijani regions
Baku, February 28 (AZERTAC). “Kazakh and Azerbaijani regions have enormous potential for boosting their cooperation,” Azerbaijani Energy Minister Natig Aliyev said at a meeting with Akim (Governor) of the Mangystau Province Alik Aidarbayev.
Speaking at the event Natig Aliyev said reciprocal visits contribute to friendly relations between the two countries. The Energy Minister said economic, political and cultural relations between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan are deeply rooted in history. He noted that the two countries had made big progress in sustaining and developing bilateral relations. He pointed out that regular meetings of the heads of state and the documents signed made both countries closer. The Minister said both countries are interested in expanding the bilateral relations in many fields, including the energy sector.
Stressing the two countries are strategic partners, Alik Aidarbayev noted Azerbaijani and Kazakh companies are actively cooperating in joint projects and TRACECA program.
The Governor said Kazakhstan is interested in strengthening the partnership with Azerbaijani companies in energy sector, launching logistics centres, ensuring food security, environment, waste management and production of consumer goods.
Aidarbayev informed the Azerbaijani Minister about the projects realized in order to develop Mangystau’s economy.
