Azerbaijani FM, EU Special Representative discuss regional security issues

Azerbaijan`s Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov has met with EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus Toivo Klaar.
During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on the process of normalization of Azerbaijan-Armenia relations, the current state of negotiations mediated by international partners, including the EU as well as regional security issues.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov once again drew the EU Special Representative’s attention to the current state of peace treaty talks, the discussions on the opening of transport and communications in line with the obligations as well as the position of the Azerbaijani side on delimitation.
Special Representative Toivo Klaar expressed the EU's support for the process of normalization of Azerbaijan-Armenia relations, adding that they will spare no effort to continue contacts between the political leaderships of both countries in this regard in the future.
The pair also exchanged views on prospects for cooperation between Azerbaijan and the EU.
