AZERBAIJANI MUGHAM SINGER PERFORMS IN BUDAPEST
Azerbaijan’s Mugham singer, Sevinj Sariyeva, performed at the Central European University in the Hungarian capital of Budapest, press service of Azerbaijan’s Embassy to Hungary said.
The singer was accompanied by Malik Mansurov on tar and Elshan Mansurov on kamancha.
The audience included students from the United States of America, Great Britain, Brazil, Pakistan, Bulgaria, Czechia and other countries.
One listener, a young Hungarian woman, said she is keen on oriental music, and mugham has made a “really big” impression on her.
Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to Hungary Hasan Hasanov, chief of department at the Ministry of Culture and Tourism Fikrat Babayev as well as employees of the Embassy and members of the Azerbaijani diaspora were also present at the concert.
