Azerbaijan’s population reaches 10,276,566

In January-July 2026, Azerbaijan’s population increased by 14,215 people, or 0.14 percent, reaching 10,276,566 as of August 1, 2026, according to the State Statistical Committee.
Population distribution data show that 54.3 percent of the population lives in urban areas, while 45.7 percent resides in rural settlements. In terms of gender composition, 49.8 percent of the population are men and 50.2 percent are women.
