Azerbaijan’s Prosecutor General visits Bahrain

From January 24 to 26, a delegation from Azerbaijan, led by Prosecutor General Kamran Aliyev, visited Bahrain at the invitation of his Bahraini counterpart, Ali bin Fadhel Al Buainain.
Describing Bahrain as a friendly country, Kamran Aliyev noted its consistent support for Azerbaijan’s political initiatives on international platforms, including the country’s territorial integrity. He also highlighted that bilateral ties have strengthened thanks to the political will and efforts of both countries’ leaders.
Attorney General Ali bin Fadhel Al Buainain praised the development of partnership relations between the two nations. The officials reviewed the Memorandum of Understanding signed between their prosecution authorities in October 2024, discussing practical cooperation in combating crime, extradition, mutual legal assistance, and enhancement of legal and institutional collaboration. They also explored organizing joint training visits and sharing professional experience.
The Azerbaijani delegation was briefed on the activities of the Bahrain Public Prosecution and met with Sheikh Khalid Ali Al Khalifa, Chairperson of the Court of Cassation and Vice President of the Supreme Judicial Council, as well as Nawaf bin Mohammed Al Ma'awda, Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments.
The visit also included a tour of Bahrain’s historical and cultural landmarks.
