Azerbaijan’s tourism potential promoted in Seoul

Co-organized by Azerbaijan’s Tourism Board, the country showcased its tourism opportunities at the promotional event held in Seoul, the capital of South Korea.
During the event, it was announced that direct flights from Seoul to Baku will operate once a week on Fridays from May 2025, organized by South Korean tour operators. The flights, which are scheduled to be carried out by mid-July 2025, will be operated by AZAL.
Addressing the event, Ramin Hasanov, Azerbaijani Ambassador to the Republic of Korea, noted that direct flights would contribute to the development of relations between the two countries, mutual promotion, further encouraging tourist exchanges.
Representatives of the South Korean tourism industry, journalists, as well as representatives of leading Azerbaijani tourism companies attended the networking event.
The event participants were provided with detailed information about Azerbaijan's nature, historical sites, tangible and cultural heritage samples, modern architecture of Baku, monuments included in the UNESCO heritage list, as well as different types of tourism. They also discussed prospects for cooperation between the two countries in the field of tourism.
