Azerbaijan’s tourism potential showcased in Poland
Baku, October 9, AZERTAC
From the cultural heritage of Baku and Shaki and the Silk Road to hiking trails and ski experiences in the country’s mountain regions, Azerbaijan showcased its diverse tourism offering to Poland’s travel industry.
From October 6 to 8, the Azerbaijan Tourism Board (ATB) participated in the AVIAREPS Around the World Roadshow Poland 2026, held in Gdansk, Poznan, and Warsaw.
The roadshow brought together around 70 tourism professionals across the three cities, providing a platform to promote Azerbaijan as a year-round destination and showcase experiences ranging from cultural heritage and nature to hiking and winter tourism. The meetings also helped establish new business connections with Poland’s tourism industry and raise awareness of Azerbaijan as a travel destination.
Growing interest from Poland is reflected in visitor numbers. From January to September 2026, the number of Polish citizens visiting Azerbaijan increased by 13.1 percent compared with the same period in 2025, highlighting the continued potential of the Polish market.
Connectivity further supports travel between the two countries. Direct flights between Warsaw and Baku operated by LOT Polish Airlines provide convenient access to Azerbaijan, while the e-visa system simplifies travel planning. Polish citizens can apply through evisa.gov.az at least three working days before arrival or use the urgent option, under which applications are processed within three to five hours. The visa allows stays of up to 30 days within its 90-day validity period.
