‘AZERENERGY’ REFUTES RUMORS
Some mass media including a number of private TV-channels referring to the joint stock company ‘Azerenergy’ spread, August 12, the information on Turkey’s intention to stop electricity supply to Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic because of alleged $120 million debt.
Refuting this information, the ‘Azerenergy’ declares that 50 m/w of electricity is being hourly transmitted from Turkey to Nakhchivan AR just like before. Strengthening and expansion of Azerbaijani power engineers’ business contacts with their Iranian and Turkish colleagues promote solution of this extremely important political, economic and social issue. Top-priority projects envisioned to solve electric power supply problems of Nakhchivan AR are laying new 132 KV transmission facilities Julfa (Azerbaijan) - Julfa (Islamic Republic of Iran), and construction of the substation in Julfa (Nakhchivan AR).
