AzerGold migrates IT systems to Government Cloud
Baku, May 30, AZERTAC
The implementation of the Decree No. 718 signed by President Ilham Aliyev on June 3, 2019, regarding the establishment of the Government Cloud (G-cloud) and the provision of cloud services, is ongoing.
In line with the decree, AzerGold Closed Joint-Stock Company (CJSC) has successfully migrated its information systems and digital resources to the Government Cloud. The company’s core digital infrastructure is now hosted at the Baku Data Center, managed by “AzInTelecom” LLC—a subsidiary of AZCON Holding.
“AzInTelecom” has provided AzerGold with cloud services including Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) and Backup-as-a-Service (BaaS), resulting in high availability and resilience of the company’s critical IT systems.
It is worth noting that under the Government Cloud project, the full or partial migration of IT systems from various state institutions to the Baku Main and Yevlakh Backup Data Centers is being carried out. These data centers are operated by AzInTelecom and aim to reduce IT costs, improve operational efficiency, and strengthen information security.
The migration also ensures the delivery of high-quality, uninterrupted digital services with 24/7 monitoring support.
AzInTelecom LLC is the first entity in Azerbaijan and the South Caucasus to receive the international "TIER III" compliance certification.
