Baku to host international conference 'Azerbaijan and Eastern Partnership: regional problems and finding new opportunities'
Baku, November 28 (AZERTAC). The Strategic Research Center (SRC) under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the South Caucasus Security Forum and Konrad Adenauer Foundation will co-organize an international conference entitled 'Azerbaijan and Eastern Partnership: regional problems and finding new opportunities' in Baku early December.
The conference will be organized as part of the 3rd South Caucasus Security Forum.
The conference aims to discuss realities of the South Caucasus as one of the important geopolitical regions of the world, prospects of the regional development, security, peace and cooperation issues and to contribute to the processes of the international diplomacy.
Participants of the conference will hold wide discussions on the geopolitical processes, long-standing regional conflicts and new directions of their peaceful solutions, regional cooperation, energy security, particularly East-West energy corridor challenges and opportunities, impact of energy projects on peace and security in the region, integration of the South Caucasian countries into European Union, Eastern Partnership progress, peace and cooperation prospects of the neighbor countries, international security problems and other priority issues important for the regional geopolitics.
Heads and researchers of the world’s leading think tanks such as the Strategic Research Center (Azerbaijan), Konrad Adenauer Foundation (Germany), Jamestown Foundation (USA), Chatham House (UK), Russian Academy of Sciences, International Center of Conflicts and International Center on Conflict and Negotiation (Georgia), University of Central Florida (USA), as well as members of the European Commission and European Parliament, heads of representations of international organizations and diplomatic missions accredited in Azerbaijan will make reports at the conference.
