Baku, December 21, AZERTAC
Students of Baku Higher Oil School (BHOS) have visited Children’s Home No1 in Nizami district, Baku and met with its young residents. The visit was organized as part of the projects implemented under the BHOS Corporate Social Responsibility program.
The students also met with the Children’s Home principal Narmina Zohrabova. She informed the students about the children living in the orphanage, their daily schedule, activities carried out for the kids in their leisure time and teaching programs developed for the school-age children. She emphasized that the Children’s Home remains under constant state care and close attention from the government. Narmina Zohrabova also said that the orphanage graduates are well prepared for receiving higher education. In her words, many of them successfully passed the entrance exams and study now at universities in Azerbaijan and Russia.
The BHOS students did not notice those several hours, which they spent at the orphanage playing with, and talking to, the children. The kids were happy to demonstrate their drawings and small handicrafts and to tell about their successes. At the end of the visit, the students presented various gifts and books to the children, and a TV set to the orphanage.
