BILL “ON ELECTRONIC TRADE” DISCUSSED AT JOINT COMMISSIONS
Discussed was the bill “On electronic trade”, AzerTAj reported. Chairman of the standing committee on questions of a science and education Shahlar Askerov has noted that Milli Majlis has adopted a number of important laws in the field of information technologies. Acceptance of the mentioned law will facilitate the organization of trade, in particular, electronic trade.
Head of the Center of Information Resources and Technologies of President Administration Elmir Velizadeh has informed on the bill. He has noted that the purpose of the said law consists in establishment of legal bases of realization in the Azerbaijan Republic of trade by means of modern information technologies (electronic trade), rules of its organization, and also the rights and duties of participants of process. The law adjusts the relations arising during contracts, concluded between persons and sold with their participation at realization of electronic trade, and their other legal activity.
During discussions, the MPs and the invited persons have emphasized importance of the law, and also have noted that in the bill there is a number of shortcomings. It was entrusted to working group to consider once again opinions and offers of experts then to present the project for discussion of parliament.
