bp presents manual for school psychologists

bp today presented a 368-page manual to help school psychologists do their job more effectively. The book is a source of wide-ranging theoretical knowledge as well as practical application of internationally used work and consultation methods and approaches.
The project has been implemented in collaboration with the Ministry of Education. It aims to equip school psychologists with the necessary theory and practice of dealing with the most common and challenging psychological problems at schools including stress, mental and moral trauma cases, as well as post pandemic mental health issues and syndromes.
The book has been developed and compiled by nine local experts representing each of the wide-ranging themes included in the content. It can also be used by university students majoring in relevant disciplines and parents of schoolchildren.
Addressing the event, hosted by bp today to publicly present the book, Bakhtiyar Aslanbayli, bp’s vice president for the Caspian region, Communications and External Affairs, said: “This is the first time a manual of this size and scale has been published in Azerbaijan for school psychologists to rely on both theoretically and practically. We have specifically designed this project so that it can be used by all those who deal with children’s psychology. The topic is particularly relevant these days when schools and parents have to address the challenges arising from the post pandemic mental and physical health problems of children. In preparation of the book, we closely worked with the Ministry of Education and the Institute of Education to cover all areas and themes that will make the book a primary source of guidance for school psychologists and parents.”
The project duration was seven months with the total cost of around 54,000 AZN.
The project was implemented by the local organisation AZEDU MMC.
