bp’s activities in Azerbaijan, exploration and production projects reviewed

Mikayil Jabbarov, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Economy, met with Murray Auchincloss, Chief Executive Officer of bp.

The meeting emphasized Azerbaijan’s pivotal role in ensuring the energy security of several European countries.

Minister Jabbarov highlighted Azerbaijan’s significant potential in the field of renewable energy and noted that the new agreements signed between SOCAR and bp during Baku Energy Week are vital for further strengthening the longstanding strategic partnership in the energy sector.

The sides praised bp’s active involvement in Azerbaijan’s renewable energy initiatives and exchanged views on the company’s operations in the country, including decarbonization efforts, as well as ongoing exploration and production projects.
