CASPIAN: PROTECTION OF NATURAL VALUES
Interview with the participants of the 8th session of the Coordination Committee on Hydro-meteorology of the Caspian and environment monitoring - heads of delegations of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Russia, Iran and Turkmenistan was published in this article.
In his interview, Director of the National Department of hydro-meteorology of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan Sakhrab Shairaliyev pointed out that a national hydro-meteorology development program for the years 2003 - 2010 has been worked out and agreed with the Cabinet of Ministers. One of the main directions of this program is restoration and modernization of offshore hydro-meteorological network, revival of expedition works, active participation of Azerhaijan in international programs.
The article reads that two new meteorology stations have been recently opened in Nakhchivan and the aero station in Mashtagi suburb of Baku is being currently restored.
