CHANGES DEMANDED BY THE LIFE
Two months have elapsed since the moment of election of the honored worker of arts as chairperson of the Union of Composers of Azerbaijan, People’s Actress Firangiz Alizade. The term, obviously, is insufficient to speak about any radical changes, but it allows asking the questions connected with the further activity of this creative union.
- How does composer Firangiz Alizade feel in administration chair of the Union?
- First of all, certainly, I feel huge responsibility on my shoulders. For a long time we did not have a congress, many problems have collected. Probably, it was the omission of time. Remember, what uneasy time experienced Azerbaijan. Today, we have reached stability, dynamical growth, rise in all areas of our country. There is huge interest to culture and assistance to the people of art. All this can be named "other" time of our life, which has come owing to consecutive and vigorous activity of President Ilham Aliyev, successfully realizing the political line of our national leader Heydar Aliyev. I am grateful to the colleagues that they have entrusted me destiny of our creative Union during so uneasy period for it, and I wish to be in the work dynamical, to take an example from our young President.
- Most likely, the Union of Composers expects reforms?
- After close studying our By-laws, it became clear, that many opportunities laid in it are not used. We shall, as though from within, move apart frameworks of each item of the By-Laws. One of them, for example, marks importance of development of communications with foreign colleagues. Actually, it was forgotten. Reforms are necessary, and in creative collective they are rather delicate. I never before could deal with similar problems. But those who watches my creativity, know, that I had to do very much "for the first time”. I hope for success and this time...
- The German Publishing House PFAU in a series "Outstanding Musicians of the World" has published a book devoted to you "The Life and Creativity of the Azerbaijan Composer and Pianist"…
- It seems to me, that very valuable in this book is that there is no a word which would not base on documents. It includes the list of 198 titles of the materials published about me. The book is interesting also that in enough modest form it informs on my awards, contains estimations of musicologists of my performances, tells about broadcasts which I organized in Germany, Switzerland, Austria, about premieres.
