CIA DIRECTOR RESIGNS
We shall remind that Mr. George Tenet being a member of the Administration of Bush carried out duties of the head of the Central Intelligence Service since the period of authority of President Bill Clinton. The application for resignation has put an end to his 7-years activity on this post. Despite of it, George Tenet will continue as CIA director until mid-July, when his deputy John McLaughlin will become acting director.
It is necessary to note, that John McLaughlin is the expert on questions of Europe. In 1972 when he arrived in the Central Intelligence Agency, he prosecuted subjects of Europe, Russia and Eurasia. And in 1984-85 has worked in the European and Canadian Bureau of the State Department.
