Clinton to Meet with Netanyahu

Baku, November 4 (AZERTAC). U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has said she plans to meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu next week while he is visiting Washington, VOA reports.

Clinton said Thursday the U.S. is working "non-stop" to push for a resumption of stalled peace talks between Israel and the Palestinians.

She said she is "very involved" in finding a way forward, and that she thinks the parties will be able to do so.

Clinton`s comments came at a news conference in New Zealand`s capital, as she continues a two-week, multi-nation Asia-Pacific tour.

Direct talks between Palestinian and Israeli leaders broke down because of disputes over settlement construction in territory Palestinians want for a future state, including land in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.
