COMBAT AGAINST BRUCELLOSIS STRENGTHENING
As stated, in accordance with the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers ‘On assertion of the rules for payment of compensation for damages, caused by owners of the animals, as a result of forced slaughter and neutralization of animals infected with brucellosis and tuberculosis’, dated 8 July 2002, the ministry of agriculture set up a commission. To reveal the cases of infection with brucellosis, with the participation of the members of Commission and local specialists in 24 regions of the Republic were conducted measures on phlebotomy of the horned cattle.
In cases of diseases revealed on the base of results of laboratory analysis the animals were slaughtered under the control of veterinaries. Meat of the infected animals was estimated according to the market prices, 65 percent of the total cost was immediately paid to the owners.
In the course of examination, were revealed heavier forms of brucellosis and other dangerous diseases.
