COMPRESSOR STATION PUT INTO EXPLOITATION
According to a spokesperson for SOCAR, this gas compressor station is designed to provide the gas-lifting cycle of the production. Here 8 gas motor compressors of the model GKN-3/5-100 with a project output, taking into account the coefficient of exploitation, of 1200 thousand m3 of gas per day has been installed. As a result pressure can now be raised to 7 MPa to provide a stable technology regime in the gas-lifting system. This has helped to increase the overall production of oil by 100 tonnes.
At the moment reconstruction work has started on gas compressor station-3 and when it is completed it would be the turn of gas compressor station-7.
According to SOCAR, the oil reserves at the deposit Duvanny-morey, Sangachaly-morey and the island Hara-Zirya are being developed by Nariman Narimanov oil and gas drilling division since the past 40 years. These deposits are in the last stage of development with almost 85% of the reserves already lifted. Today about 65-70% of the active wells of the oil and gas drilling company use gas-lifting methods for production and this requires huge amounts of compressed gas. About 100 million m3 of gas per year is used for gas lifting production of oil and the working regime of these compressors. In general, the Nariman Narimanov oil and gas drilling division produce 538 million m3 of gas and consign to the government 438 million m3. That apart, 150 thousand m3 of gas is directed to maintain the gas compressor fleet of the oil and gas drilling division "Bulla-more".
