CONFERENCE ON GENDER EQUALITY HELD
Conference “Woman and gender equality in the democratic civil society” was held in BP business center on July 16. As AzerTAj was informed from the “Oil Women Workers” Society, Chairperson of the State Committee on Women Problems Zahra Guliyeva, speaking at the conference, dwelled on women’s activity in social and political processes, protection of their rights, gender policy implementation, told of solution of women’s problem on state level. Chairperson of the “Oil Women Workers” Society Solmaz Hajiyeva noted that the society takes an active part in social and political life of the country, holds workshops and conferences, directly participates in solution of the problems of women, young mothers, refugees, disabled persons and single women.A delegation of the Georgian women participated at the conference as well.
