The session of board devoted to the results of 2003 and tasks forthcoming in the current year, was held at the Ministry of Communications.

Minister Nadir Ahmadov has emphasized, that the last year has come to an end with satisfactory parameters, however on a number of the enterprises of communications lacks and mistakes take place, press service of the Ministry said.

It has been informed, that the last year the forecast of tariff incomes, volume of services of the communications rendered to the population, and number of the basic telephone sets has increased for 104,7-114,8 percents, and in territory of the country densities of electronic automatic telephone exchanges has reached 47,5 percents. In the ministry, 452 new workplaces were open, in the state budget are listed 93 billion, and in the State fund of social protection of 22 billion manat.

To serious criticism, heads of some enterprises for negligent attitude to work have undergone.

Summing up boards, the Minister has once again reminded the recommendation of President Ilham Aliyev that the human factor should be in the center of attention.

The signalmen have declared 2004 the “Year of the Ministries of Electronic Communications”.
