The reception attended by members of youth organizations, diplomatic corps and dedicated to the Day of Youth was conducted in the “Azerbaijan” hotel February 2.

Minister of Youth, Sports and Tourism Abulfaz Garayev noted that youth makes about 65 percent of the population and it bears responsibility for the country’s future, for successful development and prosperity of Azerbaijan.

Great accomplishments of Azerbaijani youth for almost 30 years are strongly associated with the name of nationwide leader Heydar Aliyev who in all periods of his office paid a special attention to problems of the young generation, their education in the spirit of love for homeland, its history. In accordance with the Decree of President Heydar Aliyev, February 2 was proclaimed a Day of Youth.

The youth faces tasks coupled with continuation of his policy aimed at strengthening of country’s independence and its further economic prosperity.
