For bringing Azerbaijan TV to the world standards, digital television will be applied since September 2004 in the country.

Due to this television, number of TV channels, quality of picture and signals will be increased, and 4-5 channels applied in one frequency, AzerTAj correspondent was told at the press-service of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies. Brocading will be steady for interferences, and citizens could have easy access to Internet.

Digital television will be first tested in Baku and Absheron peninsula.
