Discussions on construction of Rasht – Astara (Iran) – Astara (Azerbaijan) railway ended in Tehran
Baku, February 3 (AZERTAC). Discussions have ended in Tehran on the construction of Rasht - Astara (Iran) - Astara (Azerbaijan) railway as part of the North-South International transport corridor.
Deputy Chairman of Azerbaijan Railways CSC Igbal Huseynov and his accompanying delegation attended the event.
The two-day discussions focused on a number of issues, including establishment of a limited company (Ltd) dealing with construction of the railway and approval of its regulations, commissioning of the railway and determination of rules of carrying passengers and cargo.
The experts have prepared the text of a memorandum to be signed on establishment of the limited company on the Rasht - Astara (Iran) - Astara (Azerbaijan) railway.
The memorandum is expected to be signed this year in Tehran by heads of railway organizations of Azerbaijan, Iran and Russia.
