Discussions on realization of transport projects held in Ashgabat

President of Georgia Giorgi Margvelashvili who is in the capital of Turkmenistan on an official visit held here talks with the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhammadov.

The presidents discussed the key directions of international cooperation, a number of topical international and regional issues of common interest. The sides have reportedly discussed also the implementation of major infrastructure projects in the transport sector, including the project of Transport Corridor Europe - Caucasus - Asia (TRACECA), the creation of transit corridor to Afghanistan - Turkmenistan - Azerbaijan - Georgia.

President Georgy Margvelashvili noted that Georgia playing a binding role between the Caspian and Black Sea regions will promote in development of cooperation between Turkmenistan and the European Union countries.
