Double standards would harm cooperation with ODIHR

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov met with the Director of the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights Michael Georg Link in Basel, press service of the Foreign Ministry said.
The sides discussed cooperation between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights.
Elmar Mammadyarov stated that the biased election monitoring carried out by ODIHR, the predetermined results of monitoring and the double standards applied in these questions could damage cooperation with this institution and the trust in it.
Michael Link expressed interest in cooperation with the countries, stressed the necessity of observing objectiveness and not to let discrimination in the questions of election and human rights. “ODIHR will keep in focus these remarks in its activity in future”- Link emphasized. He noted he is intended to visit the region.
