Ensuring children's digital safety discussed

Emin Amrullayev, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Science and Education, participated in a high-level event titled “The Invisible Architecture: Building Safe Digital Systems for Children – Promoting International Standards and Shared Responsibility,” held in New York on the sidelines of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly.
The event was organized under the leadership of Emine Erdoğan, First Lady of Türkiye, by the Ministry of Family and Social Services of the Republic of Türkiye, in cooperation with the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) and the Office of the UN Special Representative of the Secretary-General on Violence Against Children.
The event brought together first ladies from several countries, senior government officials, representatives of the United Nations and other international organizations, as well as representatives of the private sector, academia, and civil society.
The discussions focused on the risks faced by children in the digital environment, the protection of their online safety, the promotion of age-appropriate digital services, the strengthening of the responsibility of technology companies and digital platforms, as well as the impact of artificial intelligence and other emerging technologies on children’s safety.
