EU united, resist internal, external attacks – Mattarella

The European Union must be united and must resist internal and external attacks, ANSA reports citing President Sergio Mattarella.
"Peace is achieved by rebuilding a system of international relations that restores the system of rules," he said at the Rondine Cittadella della Pace Association in Arezzo.
"The European Union must become one of the linchpins of dialogue in the world to redesign a new model of coexistence.
"To do this, the EU must be united, it must be more efficient, resisting attacks from within and outside. This is Europe's task," he added.
