On application of the Law “On combat against corruption”

Aiming at ensuring application of the Law of Azerbaijan Republic “On combat against corruption” in connection with coming into force of the said Law, I, hereby, resolve:

1. To assign the Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan Republic within three months:

1.1. To submit to the President 0of Azerbaijan Republic the proposals on bringing the existing legislative acts into conformity with the Law of Azerbaijan Republic “On combat against corruption”;

1.2. To ensure bringing the legal-standard acts of the Cabinet of Ministers and relevant central bodies of executive power with the mentioned Law and inform on this President of Azerbaijan Republic.

1.3. To prepare and submit of the president of Azerbaijan Republic the Draft of the legislative act establishing kinds of liability for violation of the Law of Azerbaijan Republic “On combat against corruption”;

1.4. To prepare and submit to the President of Azerbaijan Republic the Draft envisioned by the Article 4.3 of the said Law, Regulations of the Commission on combat against corruption under the Council of Administration of the Public Service;

1.5. Within its powers, to solve other issues resulting from the Law of Azerbaijan Republic “On combat against corruption”.

2. To create a Department on combat against corruption under the Prosecutor General of Azerbaijan Republic.

3. Prosecutor General of Azerbaijan Republic will within a month submit to the president of Azerbaijan Republic proposals on other issues connected with the powers, functions and ensuring activity of the Department on combat against corruption under the Prosecutor General of Azerbaijan Republic.

4. Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan Republic together with the relevant public bodies within two months to improve and submit to the President of Azerbaijan Republic Draft “On State Program on combat against corruption” with bringing it in conformity with the requirements of the Law of Azerbaijan Republic “On combat against corruption and international contracts, participants of which is the Republic of Azerbaijan.

5. The Executive Order comes into effect on the day of signing.
