FINANCIAL SUPPORT FOR ENTREPRENEURSHIP DEVELOPMENT INCREASED

The 2003 state budget envisages assigning 57 billion manat to the National Entrepreneurs Relief Fund for development of entrepreneurship in Azerbaijan. Moreover, 14 authorized banks have been picked out to bring those funds to users. There is little time left until the end of the year, and being asked by AZERTAG correspondent which part of this amount entrepreneurs have managed to used, press service of the Ministry of Economic Development said that 47 billion manat have gone through the authorized banks to financing 260 investment projects in 46 cities and provinces of Azerbaijan.

As was noted, the attention to financing the entrepreneurship in provinces has been raised for the passed 11 months. Thus, over 80 percent of the financed projects fall to the share of cities and provinces. Besides, the majority of financed projects are in producing and processing sectors. By estimation, the credits may allow opening over 5 thousand working places.
