Firefox 5 and 6 to launch this summer
Baku, April 26 (AZERTAC). Mozilla has revealed that Firefox 5 will launch on 21 June, just a few months after the open-source software organisation released the official version of Firefox 4. Firefox 6 will follow on 16 August. Firefox 5 will have several new features, but will also see other well-established functions - such as the Home button - disappear. Instead of the Home button, there will be a Home tab, so your browser`s start page will always be available without you having to load it in a tab you`ve been using to look at another web page. You will also be able to put websites or web applications that you use frequently on the Windows taskbar - or the dock in Mac OS - so you can access them more quickly. Another innovation planned for Firefox 5 will be an in-browser PDF reader, meaning that Firefox will no longer have to rely on the Adobe Reader plug-in to display PDF files. This will lead to a faster and more stable experience, Mozilla claims. You will still have the option to save PDFs to your hard drive if you wish to view them offline, though. Finally, Mozilla wants to improve the security and sharing features of Firefox. It will do this by enhancing the Password Manager in Firefox 5, which will now let you Store a number of different logins for the same site - useful if you manage several Gmail accounts, for instance. There will also be an icon for the address bar that will let you share links quickly in your social-networking accounts.
