FIRST BEACH SPORTS COMPLEX IN BALTICS OPENS IN RIGA
Baku, December 10 (AZERTAC). Earlier this week, beach sports complex “Brazilija”, the only such sports center in the Baltic countries, was opened in Riga, according to LETA.
Total investments in the complex reached approximately LVL 100,000, Griva said.
The complex, a two-story building of more than 2000 square meters in area, is located on Jurkalne Street in Riga.
The new complex includes four sandy areas for various sports - volleyball, football, beach tennis and others.
According to Griva, the sand for the sports complex comes from sand mines in Latvia.
Although summers in Latvia are very short, beach sports are very popular here, and the new spots center will give these sports the opportunity to further develop, said Griva.
The sports complex also includes a children playground and Riga`s largest sandbox, and a “Cafe Brazil” cafe.
“Brazilija” owners include Andris Blaka with 70 percent of shares and Egils Cirulis with 30 percent, according to the Register of Enterprises` “Lursoft” database.
