FIRST SITTING OF ENTREPRENEURS COUNCIL HELD

The first sitting of the Council of Entrepreneurs under President of the Republic of Azerbaijan with the participation of the representatives of Embassies to Azerbaijan, international organizations was held in ‘Hyatt Regency’ hotel, on July 8. Opening the meeting, Chairman of the Council, Minister for Economic Development Farhad Aliyev pointed out the importance of the Council in development of entrepreneurship in Azerbaijan. He presented to the Council members for discussion a package of proposals concerning establishment of ‘Entrepreneurs Day’. It was suggested to announce April 25 as ‘Entrepreneurs Day’, the date of Azerbaijan President’s meeting with business people in 2002, which began a new stage in entrepreneurship development in Azerbaijan. At the end of the first sitting, the Council members adopted an address to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev.
