FOR EXAMINATION BTC WORK’S IN GEORGIA

SOCAR (Azerbaijani state oil company) president Natiq Aliyev and British Petroleum Azerbaijan's president David Woodward have paid joint visit to Georgia.

The two oil chiefs have examined the construction work in the Georgian sector of Baku- Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline.

Aliyev and Woodward have met with Georgian Prime Minister Zurab Zhvania and the president of Georgian International oil corporation Giya Chanturia in Tbilisi.

Woodward has told reporters he was satisfied with the BTC's construction pace. Woodward said, he was confident that the BTC pipeline will be ready for exploitation in the first part of 2005.
