Young Lawyers Association of Azerbaijan /YLAA/ has arranged winter schools for human rights together with the Institute of Human Rights and Humanitarian law after Raul Wollenberg of the Lund University of Sweden. Two lectures were delivered by three international experts from Sweden and two experts from Azerbaijan. The opening ceremony was attended by representatives of the UN office, Ministry of Youth, Sports and Tourism and Ombudsman Office. The winter school sponsored by the International Development Agency of Sweden was organized by senior students of law departments, young persons working as jurists and NGO representatives engaged in law. 24 persons were involved in winter school. Along with theoretical knowledge, these persons studied the procedure of applying to the European Human Rights Court. Successful alumni will receive certificates of the Institute.

The project realized by YLAA includes not only the winter school but also books to the amount of €15 thousand granted by the Institute. The grant also includes the well-equipped Internet hall to be used by Azerbaijan citizens, foreigners and persons without citizenship.

In accordance with the agreement, the summer school will be conducted for 14 days. The youth working in the mass media and specialized in human rights will be preferred.
