FRIENDSHIP TO GET STRONGER

In Moscow, in the “Baku” film-concert complex, which these days marks 30th anniversary, has taken place a big holiday under the motto “Friendship: Russia –Azerbaijan”. Organized by the All-Russia Azerbaijan Congress with assistance of the Government of city of Moscow, celebratory evening began from display of a short-footage film about recent official visit of the President of the Azerbaijan Republic Ilham Aliyev to the Russian Federation. In the film, important points of visit are reflected: a meeting with the President of Russia Vladimir Putin, signing of bilateral interstate agreements, visiting MSU, meeting with the Azerbaijan Diaspora and others.

Opening the party, the president of All-Russia Azerbaijan Congress Mammad Aliyev has noted, that the relations between Azerbaijan and Russia develop on ascending and this high level is necessary for supporting. He emphasized that presidential elections forthcoming on March 14 to Russia - are rather important and for the Azerbaijan Diaspora, and has called Azerbaijanis of Russia to fulfill their civic duty, take active part in presidential elections.

Then, speaking was the first deputy foreign minister of the Russian Federation on work with compatriots Eleonora Mitrofanova who concerning the level of bilateral Azerbaijani-Russian ties noted that the relations between Azerbaijan and Russia dynamically develop in many respects due to top-level contacts. She emphasized value of the first official visit of the President of the Azerbaijan Republic Ilham Aliyev to Russia, has noted the role of our humanitarian cooperation.

Taking part in this holiday of friendship, the first vice-premier of Azerbaijan Republic Abbas Abbasov has transferred intimate greetings and kindest wishes of the President of the Azerbaijan Republic Ilham Aliyev and Azerbaijani people to participants of the holiday, expressed gratitude to the All-Russia Azerbaijan Congress that the Congress has managed to create conditions for this warm and friendly meeting. “Russia and Azerbaijan, - A. Abbasov told, unite very deep historical roots, culture, old friendship, mutual understanding, good neighborhood, and also our strategic partnership. All this once again proves to be true today's affairs which put into practice also the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and President of Russia Vladimir Putin”.

On the evening passed with participation of representatives of the Russian and Azerbaijan public, also was speaking chairman of the Committee of inter-regional communications and national policy of Moscow Michael Burov, chairman of the State Committee of the Azerbaijan Republic on work with the Azerbaijanis living abroad, Nazim Ibrahimov. Speaking on the meeting, deputy of Milli Majlis of Azerbaijan Michael Zabelin has noted Heydar Aliyev’s huge role in today’s relations between Azerbaijan and Russia that are at high level. With huge interest, the audience listened to the first secretary of the Union of Cinematographers of Azerbaijan, the national actor of republic Rasim Balayev who has told that just in Moscow, at cinema "Baku", 30 years ago has taken place his debut in the big cinema and here has passed premiere of the film "Nesimi” where he has played the leading role. Director of the film-concert complex Lyudmila Serova has expressed in her statement a profound gratitude to the plenipotentiary ambassador of the Azerbaijan Republic in Russian Federation Ramiz Rizayev and the All-Russia Azerbaijan Congress for assistance in reconstruction and repair of the cinema.

It should be noted that representatives of numerous regions of Russia participated in this party - Saint Petersburg, Cheboksary, Chelyabinsk, Belgorod, Perm, Voronezh, Yaroslavl and others.
