Garabagh University, Istanbul Technical University to launch dual-degree program

Starting from the 2026/2027 academic year, Garabagh University will launch an international dual-degree program in partnership with Istanbul Technical University (ITU). The initiative is being implemented in accordance with the Order signed by President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on July 22, 2025, on additional measures to enhance the international competitiveness of Azerbaijan’s higher education system.
The dual-degree program will cover engineering disciplines and be delivered entirely in English in accordance with the curricula of Istanbul Technical University. Students will complete their first three academic years in Khankendi and their fourth year in Istanbul. Courses within the program will be taught by ITU professors.
Graduates will receive bachelor’s degrees from both Garabagh University and Istanbul Technical University, with all program-related expenses covered by the state.
The initiative, launched by Garabagh University in partnership with ITU, is expected to contribute significantly to improving the quality of engineering education, incorporating international practices, and developing highly skilled professionals.
