GENDER CONFERENCE HELD IN BRUSSELS
UNIFEM and the European Commission held in Brussels a conference on the topic “Gender equity and national strategy of development”. At the workshop with participation of 130 specialists on gender representing numerous world countries, Azerbaijan was represented by vice-chairperson of the State Committee on Women Affairs (SCWA) Mominet Omarova.
As is informed, at the action, focused were issues connected to poverty reduction, improvement of the life condition of women, gender equity and others, held discussions around the topic.
