George Washington University hosts conference on ways of resolution of conflicts in Southern Caucasus
Baku, May 2 (AZERTAC). A conference entitled “Conflicts in the Southern Caucasus and ways of their resolution” was held at the George Washington University in St. Louis.
The conference was co-organized by the Center for Strategic Studies under the President of Azerbaijan (SAM), Center for New Institutional Social Sciences of the WUSTL, Eurasia Research Center and International and Regional Research program.
The speeches were made by research Fellow of SAM Center Rauf Garagozov, professor of the Tbilisi State University, head of the UNESCO Chair in Intercultural Dialogue Nino Chikovani, Head of the Analytical Centre on Globalisation and Regional Cooperation Stepan Grigoryan.
Azerbaijan`s ambassador to U.S. Elin Suleymanov also attended the conference.
The participations stressed the importance of settlement of the existing problems, especially Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno Karabakh conflict for future development and integration of the Sothern Caucasus to the international systems.
