Georgian, NATO officials discuss security issues

Speaker of Georgian Parliament Shalva Papuashvili has held a meeting with the new Head of NATO Liaison Office Alexander Vinnikov, according to parliament.ge.
The Speaker congratulated Mr. Vinnikov with the appointment and noted that his personal efforts and support will be particularly important for Georgia on the Euro-Atlantic integration path. He expressed his gratitude to the intact support of NATO to the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Georgia and for its merit in the improvement of the defense capacity of the country.
The parties discussed NATO-Georgia relations.
The Speaker underlined the significant progress of Georgia on the NATO integration path and overviewed the contribution of Georgia in ensuring the common Euro-Atlantic security.
