Baku, October 11, AZERTAC
“It is important to maintain a peaceful environment in Georgia, be calm and firm, and continue the development of the country. Against the background of a “very difficult” situation in European countries, Georgia has a record double-digit economic growth throughout Europe and Central Asia, Irakli Garibashvili, the Georgian prime minister said on Sunday, according to Agenda.ge.
The head of the government said the Georgian delegation had had “very interesting” discussions in Prague at the inaugural European Political Community summit, created by the initiative of the French president Emmanuel Macron, and noted he was “honoured” to have led one of the working groups.
Garibashvili stressed the main topic of the discussion at the summit had been the security challenges in Europe and the world, amid the ongoing war in Ukraine, and noted there has not been such a crisis in the whole world since the Second World War, adding the main “concern” of the Georgian government has been the peace and security of the country’s citizens.
