Baku, March 16, AZERTAC
A delegation from Guinea, led by Faya François Bourouno, Minister of Administrative Modernization and the Civil Service, is on a visit to Azerbaijan.
As part of the visit, the Guinean delegation first headed to the Alley of Martyrs, where they paid tribute to Azerbaijani heroes who sacrificed their lives for the country’s freedom and territorial integrity, and laid a wreath at the Eternal Flame Monument.
The delegation then visited the ASAN Khidmet Center in Baku.
Ulvi Mehdiyev, Chairman of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, briefed the Guinean officials on the activities of the ASAN Khidmet centers, established on the initiative of President Ilham Aliyev, as well as on innovative solutions implemented in the public service sector. Mehdiyev noted that the ASAN Khidmet model has been successfully adopted in more than 30 countries and international organizations.
During the meeting, the parties signed the “Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the Republic of Guinea on the implementation of the ASAN Khidmet practice.”
The agreement envisages the implementation of ASAN Khidmet practices in Guinea, the organization of internship programs for Guinean civil servants at ASAN Khidmet centers, and the sharing of advanced public service practices by experts from the State Agency with the Guinean side.
Expressing high appreciation for the ASAN Khidmet initiative, Minister Faya François Bourouno emphasized its crucial role in ensuring public access to government services, noting that Guinea aims to adopt Azerbaijan’s advanced practices in this field within a short period.
During the visit, the delegation will also visit the Victory Park to see the Victory Monument. They will also attend presentations delivered by ASAN Khidmet staff on various areas of public service.
