Head of Ukrainian Analytical Center hails high public interest in parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan
Kyiv, January 16, AZERTAC
A significant number of candidates, including sufficient opposition representatives applied to run for parliamentary seats in Azerbaijan, which testifies to the high level of public interest in the early elections slated for February 9, head of Ukrainian Analytical Center Alexander Ohrimenko has told AZERTAC.
The Ukrainian expert noted that the parliamentary elections would mark a new stage in the development of democratic institutions in the country. “It is also an evidence of establishment of a democratic and transparent electoral environment in Azerbaijan,” Ohrimenko said.
“Whether you are opposition or ruling party, or a neutral candidate, you should benefit from the democratic electoral environment created in Azerbaijan and participate in these elections,” he added.
