Honours shared out on Canoe Sprint final day

In the women's Kayak double (K2) 200m, Marharyta Makhneva and Maryna Litvinchuk of Belarus won gold, with the Serb pair of Nebojsa Grujic and Marko Novakovic winning the men's competition.
In the men's Kayak K1 200m race, Miklos Dudas of Hungary won gold ahead of Sweden's Peter Menning in silver position and Great Britain's Olympic champion Ed McKeever in bronze.
Dudas was happy to contribute towards what has been an impressive campaign from Hungary's strong canoeing squad.
"The competition in Hungary is so tough, that it's very hard to qualify for international championships,' he said. "That's one of the reasons for the success of Hungarian canoeing. You can never skip a training session. You have to work hard every day."
In the women's Kayak K1 200m race, Marta Walczykiewicz won Poland's first gold of the Games, beating Natalia Podolskaya of Russia and Hungary's Danuta Kozak.
Belarus prevailed again as the women went first in the gruelling Kayak single (K1) 5000m, with Maryna Litvinchuk taking her second gold of the day.
Germany's mighty Max Hoff then took his second European Games gold in the men's race, in a fitting end to an excellent inaugural European Games Canoe sprint competition.
