Il Giornale publishes article on Azerbaijan

Italiyanın Il Giornale newspaper has published an article about Azerbaijan, covering a variety of issues, including the country`s development, Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and Italian-Azerbaijani relations.
The article hails Azerbaijan`s military capabilities, saying the country`s army on the frontline is supplied with state-of-the-art military equipment. It describes the dispute as “the most painful wound” of Azerbaijan, saying the conflict has claimed tens of thousands of lives.
The newspaper calls Baku “Dubai of the South Caucasus”, saying the city combines tradition with modernity.
The article features comments by Italian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Giampaolo Cutillo, who described the relations between the wo countries as strategic.
The article also highlights Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev`s recent visit to Italy.
