IN THE FOCUS OF TURKISH PRESS
The 8 August issues of the influential Turkish newspapers - ‘Hurriyyet’, ‘Milliyyet’, ‘’Turkiye , ‘Radikal’, ‘Jumhuriyyet’, ‘Aksham’, ‘Sabah’ and ‘Yeni Shafag’, the popular websites – ‘NetHaber’, ‘HaberJet’ and ‘E-mediya’, bulletins of the Anadolu, Ihlas Haber and Jihan Hhaber information agencies published an information on starting at the American city of Cleveland examination and treatment of President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev. Attractive was the analytical essay of the renowned columnist Ferai Tinc, ‘Aliyev’s Power’, in the newspaper ‘Hurriyyet’. The news agencies also disseminated information of the Cleveland clinics for press. The TRT, NTV, CNN-Turk, and Haber-Turk TV channels aired this information. The Turkish TVs stated that President of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev feels well, results of the preliminary medical measures are positive.
The Turkish media also covered position of the opposition newspapers of Azerbaijan. Turkish journalists stress that statement of these newspapers contradict information of the official sources, representative of the government of Turkey, the ‘Gulhane’ Military medical Academy and statement received from the American city Cleveland.
