INCREASE TOTAL DRILLING DEPTH ON OIL AND GAS FIELDS
For the past six months of this year the total drilling depth on oil and gas deposits of SOCAR amounted to 68296 meters, which is 1.7% less than the target level of 69495 meters, but 32.1% more than drilling depths for the same period of 2002. Meanwhile the share of production well drilling totaled 67885 meters which was 31.9% more than the total depth drilled year-on-year.
Exploratory drilling for that period amounted to 947 meters far less than the planned target of 1610 meters.
