INFORMATION PROPERTY OF STRATEGIC IMPORTANCE
A joint sitting of the Milli Majlis Standing Commissions on Human Rights, Legal Policy and State Building, Science and Educational Affairs have focused on the bill “On Freedom of Information”, April 12. After hearing an appropriate report, the working group members noted that very favorable conditions are available today in Azerbaijan to enter the information space, preparation and realization of goal-oriented programs.
It was also noted that while preparing the bill, the working group used world-leading countries‘ experience in this sphere. The creation of the computerized databases is of great significance for independence and security of Azerbaijan. Availability of such a legally regulated system ensuring the right of every citizen is one of the main points of the bill.
The sitting participants decided to submit the bill to Milli Majlis’ consideration in the third reading.
